Holly Seaside, LA (KPLC) — In response to the Louisiana Division of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF), a Westlake man and two others are accused of searching migratory gamebirds at a baited space in Cameron Parish.
Brokers acquired an nameless tip in November relating to federal poaching fees saying {that a} pond close to Holly Seaside had been baited to hunt birds in violation of federal legislation.
When brokers arrived on the pond, they stated they discovered empty baggage of corn close by and corn within the pond.
After spying on the world, brokers stated they noticed Bryan Freeman, 40, of Westlake, and Grady Herrington, 32, of Kaplan, actively searching migratory gamebirds on the bait pond.
When the brokers contacted the hunters, they stated that Herrington was conscious of the bait and that 36-year-old Shawn Stelly from Kaplan had planted him.
